2000 yds DK weigh yarn (Henry’s Attic Bamboo Cotton)
size 6 (4.0 mm) needles
completed lap blanket: 40” x 54”
22 sts to 4” in St st on size 6 (4.0 mm) or whatever needles you need to produce the gauge given
All squares are worked back and forth on size 6 (4.0 mm) needles. Each square begins with 8 rows of honeycomb st. These rows are not counted as part of the pattern or chart. The patterns are then knit over the center stitches with the first and last 8 sts always worked in honeycomb st. Most of the squares are worked over 82 total sts, increasing for the main pattern, but be sure to read each set of directions carefully. The patterns are repeated until the square is approximately 12” in length and then finished with 8 more rows of honeycomb st(12.5” in total length). It is better to finish the square a little short of 12.5”, rather than longer, and block it to the appropriate size.
Warm and cozy this afghan will give you a wonderful knitting experience. Each square is a different cable design, each square is worked separately then sewn together to great a beautiful throw.
